This has been a rough year for my family. We have lost 3 family members and I lost a very dear friend.
There has not been very much creativity going on, but I am about to change that.
I took some time to myself to enjoy working on a waterfall challenge with a group I belong to. I kept putting it off until yesterday. I got at it and got so wrapped up in it that I didn't go to bed until I finished it. I did a waterfall picture from memory of falls I had seen many years ago. I think it turned out pretty good as it was my first attempt of waterfalls.
In May my Mom came to visit me for a couple of weeks. I had the best visit with her. Her Aunt Maude was turning 100 when she went home and she asked me to make her something for her special birthday. I made a pillow for her to give her. It turned out great.
I have been asked to make a quilt for a friend and that is what I have been trying to get motivated to finish. It is on my longarm and all I have left to do is the border. It sure has taken along time to get this quilt done. I will post pictures of it when it is complete.
I have a few quilts of my own I wish to get done as well. Where does all the time go?
My oldest son Tyler has told me he wants my Canada quilt that I made a few years back. I have yet to quilt it, but now I know he wants it I will finish it soon.
I went fishing for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago and caught my very first fish, a 4 pound walleye. My husband said he may take me often if I can catch that all the time.
Last night we had the best supper ever. It has been a long time since we made this. It was great and I thought I'd share a pic of it. Take a guess as to what is in it. I wasn't able to put in shrimp, as I have developed an allergy to shrimp. That is not good, as I LOVE shrimp.
I have to say "A day without sewing, is a wasted day" author unknown. I just love that saying.
